CareLift Equipment has been designing and making excellent rough terrain forklifts ever since the year 1962. Every day the company strives to help all their customers reach their objectives and deliver value because they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
Boom lifts are available in 2 general kinds, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. Both these units are normally hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the ideal option for jobs which need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery is capable of rotating 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator is able to maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machine. These units come in propane, gas or diesel configurations as well as 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise not accessible. These lift units perform tasks that straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move easily around any objects within the work environment.
In order to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is fully extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Proper training is required prior to using boom lifts so as to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks which used to need a lot more man power to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These equipment have greatly increased production and have changed the material handling industry.
