Use a Pneumatic Forklift
You could normally find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also known as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used to move materials and products around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks that are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump that can lift the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by one person.
Pallet trucks should be operated with care to prevent loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Equipment must be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make certain that the handle can turn smoothly. The pallet must be stacked carefully to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
To be able to release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever located on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks must be centered in order to ensure even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not lift the pallet very high or the forklift could unbalance.
Pull on the handle and drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is truly not safe to push the pallet ahead of you because the thrust could cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't try to stop abruptly. Stop slowly, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
