Caterpillar Reach Stackers Salt Lake City

A reach stacker is a vehicle meant to handle the movement of containerized cargo within medium and small-sized terminals and ports. Reach stackers are ideal for quickly shuttling containers short distances and piling them in rows.



Because of their flexibility, reach stackers are a common choice for handling intermodal cargo containers. They could stack higher than forklift trucks. With a reach stacker capable of second row access, container blocks can be kept four-deep.



Designed just to handle empty containers is a different type of stacker.



Kinds of Forklift Reach

Generally used on construction environments is a type of forklift called forklift reach. It is equipped with a boom and very large tires which provide great stability on uneven terrain. The forklift reach comes in the following variations:
